My sister's wedding went great! Everybody had a great time and it was gorgeous. I even managed to get through the poem without accidentally cussing or something. Everybody was all choked up. I've been working on an assignment for CS where we write a program that solves any Sudoku puzzle you give it. I can't even solve one the normal way. It's tough. And now I'm giving up and going to bed.

Business and toast.

Tough day kids. My second test in Business is today and if it's anything like the first one I'll probably end up crying in a little puddle of DESPAIR! AH! I got up early and studied although I hit the snooze for about an hour beforehand.

Maybe breakfast will make me feel better. Maybe they'll have french toast today. Cross your fingers for french toast. Mmmmmmm.

Party at Dr. Grist's house. I will never leave. The inside makes me want to cry out of sheer joy.

Quick story time.

Last night I went to a CLP at FU that was basically a guy claiming that capitalism is the only moral economic system. So right away you know that the whole "we're better than you are" thing is going to be controversial. And it was.

At the end, my old philosophy professors (who believes the exact opposite of what the speaker was ranting about) kind of gently challenged one of his points, and the speaker blew up. He starting screaming about random things that had nothing to do with his lecture, and people in the crowd started yelling at him things about how Cuba's mortality rate is lower and people live longer there. At one point, the speaker said the CIA has "its head up its ass."

Finally, he just said "I'M NOT GOING TO CONVINCE YOU! THANK YOU!" and stormed out of the room.

It was the best lecture I've seen in a long time.

Afterwards I emailed my old philosophy professor who was really nice and polite throughout the whole craziness, and he said:

Hey Mike,

Thanks for your kind words. I have to say I was a little taken aback by the speaker's agressiveness (since that's not the way good scholarly discussion happens, and we are at a university to engage in scholarly activity), but only a little. Basically, i really enjoyed the presentation, but more in the sense of theater than in the sense of a good, solid, scholarly presentation. It's been a very long time since I've heard anyone advocate a pure laissez-faire version of capitalism -- very bracing indeed!

Weekend is over. Now it's bedtime for geezers like me. Time to recount the events of my life.

• I was born in a Doctor's office on Friday the 13th.
• I was stung by a bunch of bees when I was like 7.
• Middle school sucked.
• High school didn't suck so bad.
• Furman has good breakfast and sick animals are sad.

That's it guys. That's my nutshell.

It was a pretty good weekend. Brian and Nancy's cousin David stayed over last night and we pretty much did nothing and laughed a lot all night. And all day today. I also finished watching the Prince of Tides today which was good. Braveheart is next...I've never seen it. I know I know.

Nancy's step-brother Frank is supposedly getting married next month. Talk about coming out of nowhere. I think if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet tomorrow morning I wouldn't be as surprised as I was when I heard that. Best of luck to them though! Weeeee weddings.

Doc (the vet that I work for) is having a party at her awesome fully landscaped 10 acre house next weekend and I'm gonna crash it. She told me she'd let me ride the 4 wheeler around. She knows every plant known to man by genus and species but she's a vet. Doesn't make sense to me either. Can't wait for the party.

Alright this wind is insane tonight. I was taking a nap earlier and the wind woke me up from it. Makes me so mad when something stupid like that screws up my sleep. If it was an earthquake I wouldn't feel so screwed over. I think I'm going to have nightmares about windy situations tonight. Reminds me of how last night Brian was sleeping and had a dream he was falling and kicked his feet in his sleep and kicked the bed real hard and scared the crap out of me.

ANYWAYS, what was I talking about. Bad dreams check. Party check. Ahhhhh yes, I finally did more work on the second song by master artist Me. I don't think it's quite as bad as the first one. Hopefully at least. I'm thinking of a band name. Can you have a band if you're just one guy? Five for fighting did it. And Nine Inch Nails. How about Battery Saturday...what do you think? Has a ring to it but that's about it. I'll work on it.

I'm reading a poem at my sister's wedding. Dunno which one yet. I'm gonna be all over that poem like it's my job.

Great day today. Worked the mobile with Nancy and she did better than me and sold more stuff. She's taking over my job. Then I didn't get yelled at at work. Schweet.

THEN Nancy did Arie's hair for prom and I sat around and said stupid things.

Now we're going out to eat with Katlin and her man friend.

Finished my Rubik's Cube for computer science and it's mindblowing. It literally blew my mind. vb vfgbh n <-- Nancy's toe did that. Anyways my professor said it was one of the best ones he had ever seen. AND it works. Beat that.

I'm at work waiting to go out on the mobile. Perfect time for blogging.

I went and saw Sweet Charity at the Peace Center last weekend with Nancy and my parents. I liked it. Shut up. AND I had the best steak in the history of me eating steaks that night.

Took a midterm in political science thursday. Errp. Now we're on easter break though which is nice very nice.

Dang I already have to go. Good timing huh.

I'm back!

Haven't been able to write anything for a long time! Bah!

Anyways, it was a good week last week. My sister's guinea pigs had piglets and they're scrumptious and HUGE! They were like the size of hamsters when they were born. Must be painful.

I worked on the mobile Saturday and got really sunburnt without noticing it. Weird how that happens. And I turned down the sunscreen.

I'm working on a program for my computer science class that's like a virtual Rubik's cube that you solve. Call me a geek but it's fun to make.

Nancy is on Spring Break this week. Awesome for her. Makes me jealous.

Gotta go shower! Lots more to write later.
